For the much needed 3-day weekend I came home to visit the family and celebrate my grandmas birthday. Grandma didn't know my sister and I were coming home so she was pleasantly surprised. The whole family gathered for brunch at her house.
The feast included yummy waffles and blackberry fruit salad.
Grandmas present was an outing to Yuen Lui for some pictures of just the girls. The best part was how hilarious the pictures turned out. I think the woman was getting pretty annoyed with our indecisiveness and non-stop laughing. I also couldn't believe how out-dated the place was. Professional studios may never survive if they dont catch up with the modern/digitized age, may I say.

Friday included a very full day of business and catching up. I went into the radio station for a good part of the day to catch up with my boss and other coworkers.
It's amazing how many people are new in just the time since i've left, it was a bit of a reality shock that any job can be taken in the matter of months.
My boss, another coworker, and myself went out to sushi at Genki sushi in lower Queen Anne for lunch. After being in Pullman for so long there is nothing like fresh sushi and saki. Later we also went out to happy hour at Toulouse, also in lower Queen Anne.
After all of the business I went and visited one of my closest friends Becka and her roommates that now live in Ballard (I cant explain how happy this makes me). We went out for drinks and dinner at the Loft in downtown Ballard.
It makes me sad how so many of my high school friends go out in Ballard and I am just now starting to experience it. I guess thats what you get for going to school on the other side of the state. I do look forward to spending more time on Ballard ave since it is so fun and quant (this is where my to-do list for after graduation comes in, experience home again.)
Today my mom, sister, and I went to the Fremont market to explore. Of course we each found something that was a must-have. The market is every weekend until 5, just outside of the Red door.
We got some of the best oven-baked pizza and of course sushi was a must again. Our only option was Blue-C but it was completely acceptable for my sushi cravings.
We also wondered to a few boutiques and the Theo Chocolate factory.
These are my fabulous goodies =)
A pair of brown leather boots from Dream Boutique.
I realized what a catch they were when I saw the 70% off sign.
Also an earring rack made from a vintage frame and mesh wiring.
I have no shame in admitting I will be back to the market more then often when I move back home.
Ta-ta for now!
